In many cases is called <strong>archive.php<\/strong> but can differ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"  wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"add_the_code\"><strong>Add the code<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Paste the following line of code on the file, at the location where you want the description to appear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>the_archive_description( '&lt;div class=\"taxonomy-description\"&gt;', '&lt;\/div&gt;' );<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>As found on <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.wordpress.org\/reference\/functions\/the_archive_description\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/developer.wordpress.org\/reference\/functions\/the_archive_description\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WordPress developer handbook<\/a>.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>And that&#8217;s it!<\/strong> Those are the 2 suggestions I can give you on how to show category descriptions. The same works for tags and other taxonomies.
